JASON LEVENTHAL
Founding Partner
As a founding partner of Leventhal & Klein, Mr. Leventhal devotes his practice to the prosecution of civil rights cases brought by victims of police misconduct. Mr. Leventhal also oversees the firm’s criminal defense and personal injury practices.
Mr. Leventhal began his legal career as Assistant District Attorney with the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office, where he honed his trial skills by prosecuting a wide array of criminal matters. Mr. Leventhal continued his career as a trial attorney for a multi-national insurance company.
Whether practicing in the State or Federal courts of New York and New Jersey, Mr. Leventhal is a trusted advisor and works hard to get the most favorable results for his clients.

| BRETT H. KLEIN
Founding Partner
Since co-founding Leventhal & Klein in 2004, Mr. Klein has represented countless victims of government abuse and corruption, including victims of prison rape, excessive force and unlawful strip searches. Mr.
Klein is a member of the Eastern District of New York's Committee
on Civil Litigation. He is also a member of the Federal Bar Council, the National Police Accountability Project, and the New York City Police Roundtable.
Mr. Klein was one of the first attorneys in New York City Corporation Counsel’s Special Federal Litigation Division. This unit was formed to defend the growing number of police brutality and prisoners’ rights cases that were brought against the City under the Giuliani administration. It was here that Mr. Klein was promoted to the position of Senior Counsel, responsible for trying some of the most important, controversial and complex civil rights cases on the City's docket.
